About Hannah

Hannah began learning the violin at the age of 4. Training through the Suzuki method and traditional fiddle tunes, she quickly fell in love with the instrument. She challenged herself to the “100 Day Club”, which aims to help students reach the goal of playing every single day for 100 consecutive days. She carried on with this for her entire childhood and adolescence! Hannah enjoyed playing in string quartets and orchestras in her youth, as well as attending summer camps for fiddle instruction by ear. In participating in many different learning modes, Hannah learned to enjoy learning (and teaching) various genres and ways of learning.

Hannah received her bachelors degree in violin performance in 2010 from Utah State University. During her time there, she helped run the USU String Academy program. Through that program, she created instructional classes for parents of beginners, organized recitals and concerts, and oversaw group classes taught by herself and other teachers. Hannah attended Suzuki violin training courses from pedagogues such as Mimi Zweig, Judy Bossuat, and Ronda Cole.

With 20 years of teaching experience, Hannah has learned to blend a fun learning environment with disciplined structure and practice goals. She lays out a personalized plan for every student, while encouraging students to bring what they would like to learn to lessons. Hannah believes every student should be excited about what they are playing, and look forward to lessons and practicing.
